To ensure the successful delivery of a fully designed, engineered and documented active and passive enterprise network, which meets the service requirements for the contracted elements of the DII(F) Project, and which meets the schedule delivery milestones for the Implementation Programme.
Ensure project functional performance, with respect to all engineering activities and program reporting. Manage the tasking and performance of the engineering team. Proactively identify, manage, track and resolve to closure, any and all engineering risks, as related to delivery, milestones, payment and profitability. Act as the senior engineering point of contact to groups.
Applicants need at least 10 years of practical experience in the project management, design, integration and testing of enterprise networks, including the supervision of a design team and external team leads. They will have at least 3 years in a senior level role, leading design teams, making design and testing decisions, interacting with senior managers and procurement teams, and identifying and managing resources, schedules and risk. They shall be capable of delegating tasks to and managing a large multi-function infrastructure design team, including but not limited to active networks, inside and outside cable plants, documentation, quality assurance and safety. Previous in depth experience of working with the MoD would be a distinct advantage. Knowledge of JSP480, JSP 440 and CIDA and rules would be beneficial.
